The TOEIC (Test of English for International Communication) is a standardized test designed to measure the English language proficiency of non-native speakers in an international workplace context. It is widely used by companies and institutions to assess the English skills of employees, job candidates, and students preparing for careers in global environments.
Types of TOEIC Tests
TOEIC Listening and Reading Test
This is the most common version of the TOEIC.
It evaluates a candidate’s ability to understand spoken and written English in professional settings.
The test consists of two sections:
Listening (45 minutes): Includes questions about conversations, talks, and announcements.
Reading (75 minutes): Includes questions about written texts, such as emails, advertisements, and reports.
The total score ranges from 10 to 990 points.
TOEIC Speaking and Writing Tests
These are separate tests that measure productive English skills (speaking and writing).
They are often taken together or alongside the Listening and Reading Test for a complete evaluation of language proficiency.
The speaking test includes tasks like answering questions, describing pictures, and expressing opinions.
The writing test includes writing emails and essays.
Scores for each section range from 0 to 200 points.

A simplified version for beginner to intermediate learners.
It assesses basic English communication skills.
